Escrever sobre a profissão de tradutor pode dar pano pra manga.

Há tanto a ser considerado, tantas variáveis, diferentes experiências e perspectivas que um só post e uma só voz sobre o assunto jamais dariam a correta dimensão deste tópico.

Foi pensando nisso que eu decidi iniciar esta série de guest posts sobre a profissão de tradutor.

O post inicial será meu, mas os seguintes serão de colegas tradutores que compartilharão conosco como foi iniciar na carreira, o que eles acham importante ter em mente, erros e acertos, quais as atuais tendências na profissão de tradutor e, principalmente, quais conselhos eles podem dar para quem está começando.

Writing about the translation profession can have legs.

There is so much to be considered, so many variables, different experiences, and perspectives that a single post and a single voice on the subject would never give the correct dimension of this topic.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to start this series of guest posts on the translation profession.

The initial post will be mine, but the following ones will be from fellow translators who will share with us what it was like to start in the translation profession, what they think is important to be considered, the hits and misses, what are the current trends, and, especially, what advice they would give to newbies.
